Why 14?

An explanation

If you've spent any time on this website, you would notice that all my ratings go up to 14. The reason for this, has to do with how we read number ratings. I view the number "5" true average on a 10 point scale, but most view this number as a bad score; usually rating something 7 as average, and 5 as bad. To make up for this mental discrepancy, I have adjusted my scoring system to be 2 times of 7; 14.

This system of measurement was actually not my idea, my brother came up with this when he was 14 years old. We named it the "lit"-mas scale, as the scale is the same as a litmus test but we're describing how "lit" or cool something is.
